Eggs

You can freeze eggs by mixing the yolk and whites together. Pour them into an ice tray and freeze. One large egg equals about two cubes.

Milk

You can freeze milk in its original container. You will need to pour some milk out though to allow for expansion. When you are ready to thaw it, put the milk in the fridge and shake it before use.

Butter

Butter can be frozen in its original container. You will need to thaw it in the fridge.

You can freeze bananas in their peel. Thaw the bananas and peel it and use them in smoothies and breads. Keep in mind that the peel will turn black, but the banana on the inside will be perfect.

Celery

With celery you should wash and chop it to the size that you want. First flash freeze it on a tray and then place them into a freezer bag or airtight container. To use frozen celery add it frozen to heated dishes.

Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly. Freeze them whole and unpeeled on a tray and then transfer them to a freezer bag.

Fresh Herbs

Chop the herbs finely. Place them in an ice cube tray with a small amount of water. You can drop the cubes to heated dishes to use.

Nuts

You can freeze nuts in a freezer bag or airtight container.

Zucchini and other Squash

Wash and chop to the size that you want. Blanch them for three minutes. Allow them to cool and freeze in an airtight container.

Apples

You are able to freeze apples whole, chopped, peeled or unpeeled.
