Hardwood Floors

Black tea can be used to clean floors and add a shine to hardwood floors. Mop a small area to check for discolouring first. You can’t use tea though on laminate flooring. To clean hardwood floors with tea, first boil a pot of water and add 5 or 6 tea bags to it. Turn the heat off and allow the tea to sit for around 10 minutes. Pour the tea into a bucket and add cold water. Mop the floor as you would usually, but ensure the mop is wrung first.

Microwave Cleaning

Boil water and add a few green tea leaves to it. Remove the water from the heat and allow it to cool so that you are able to handle it. Use the tea water to wash down the inside and outside of your microwave. This will help to remove odours and add a fresh smell.
